President Biden Appoints Nigerian-Born Enoh Ebong as Director of Trade and Development
Enoh Titilayo Ebong, a Nigerian, has been named Director of the United States Trade and Development Agency by US President Joe Biden.
This was revealed in a brief provided to the US Congress with the names of nominees for various positions in the president’s cabinet.
Between 2004 and 2019, Ebong worked for the USTDA in several capacities, notably as General Counsel and Deputy Director.
Ebong worked as a lawyer in Boston before joining the USTDA, serving both public and private firms.
According to the brief, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. named Ebong as the USTDA’s Chief Operating Officer, and she has been acting as the agency’s Director since then.
Ebong holds a JD from the University of Michigan Law School, a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School for Communication, and a Master of Arts in History from The University of Edinburgh, Scotland, with honors.
