Lotto operator set himself ablaze over debts in Osun
A lotto operator known only as Seyi is said to have committed suicide! de by lighting himself on fire.
The deceased, who owns a gaming establishment in Ikire, Osun State, is said to have locked himself in his establishment and set himself on fire. He was seriously burned before he could obtain help, and it’s believed he did it because he was in debt.
News crews were told by an eyewitness:
“We noticed smoke pouring from the kiosk.” We had no idea Seyi was there at first. He simply entered the shop, shut all of the doors and windows, and set himself ablaze.
“He was a lottery player.” I even learned that before leaving home that day, he gave money to his child and then went inside the kiosk and committed suicide. He was brought in as a corpse. People assumed he was in debt.”
Yemisi Opalola, a spokeswoman for the Osun State Police Command, verified the occurrence. While no foul play is suspected, Opalola stated that the police will explore various possibilities.
“In the Center Area, Ikire, he was a lotto operator.” He simply walked into his kiosk, closed it, and lit himself ablazez3. He died, and his family requested his body. Despite the fact that no foul play is suspected, authorities will look into various possibilities.”
