According to an official, a tanker exploded near Berger Yard on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Sunday, injuring three people.

While the exact cause of the tanker explosion was unknown at the time of this report, an official stated that a vehicle was burned.

The three injured people were taken to the Idera hospital in Sagamu town, according to Ahmed Umar, Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command.

On the ground, he and firefighter are in charge of the situation. To avoid a secondary explosion, he advised motorists to remain calm, disciplined, and cooperative with traffic managers.

He said, “FRSC Ogun Sector Command wishes to inform the motoring public on the traffic situation along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway due to a burning tanker laden with gas that resulted in a fire incident around Danco.”

“The FRSC rescue team and fire department are on the scene and are fully managing the situation.” To avoid a ‘secondary crash,’ traffic has been diverted. He advised motorists to “remain calm, disciplined, and cooperative with traffic managers.”
